Augustana is an American rock band fron San Diego, California. They are best know for their singles, "Boston" and "Sweet and Low". Both have been used in some TV series and films. Their first album is titled Miedwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays and was released in 2003 with only 1000 copies. Later the group published Mayfield EP.

Boston is the song I chose. It’s one of the best known songs by Augustana. Boston is the first single from the album All the stars and Boulevards which was released in 2005. I rellay like the melody of this song as well as the piano accompaniment. Furthermore, I love the lyrics. The song is about a girl who wants to start a new life where on one knows  anything about her. She´s tired and she needs to leave her old life and forget about everything. Personally i sympathise with the feeling of wanting to change one´s life. I mean, next year I’ll start at the university and my life will change a lot. I’ll probably be in a new city and make new friends. Honestly, I am looking forward to it. But I’ll also be sad to leave behind many good memories and experiences, especially some people who is really important to me.
